where line and colour meet

I have just negotiated my next project brief which is called "Where line and colour meet". One of my aims for this piece of work is to be more prolific with the images I produce during the investigation stage of the project.  So hopefully I should have more work to post here.
Japanese Mask by Matisse. Gouache and cut, out paper. 1950.
University of California 110 foot long mural by artist Paul Wearing

In the meantime Jonny (my tutor) has suggested I look at Matisse and Paul Wearing. Matisse, doesn't really need any explanation, but Paul Wearing, I hadn't heard of.  Paul Wearing (I have learnt) graduated from the Royal College of Art and is a highly successful award winning illustrator.  There are a lot great images on his website, take a look!
