The Easter holiday are almost over now, and I thought you might like to see what I have been up to. This is a little bird I made in between acting as seamstress for my kids and sewing outfits for their soft toys.

I have just spent a very happy few hours (normal people could probably get through the publication quicker but we had to do lunch and the dance class drop-off in between) reading Peculiar Bliss. It is a fab publication, made even more so for me by the great illustrations, a really useful article about commissioning an illustrator and a refreshingly honest and inspiring interview with Margot Harrington. Christopher Brown signed my copy of his book!

Well, it was a fantastic evening. Lots of lovely people and pictures. We had a wonderful time meeting the artists and debating what to buy. I opted for Christopher Brown's An Alphabet of London to inspire me. Even the kids loved it, definitely go if you have a chance.
